There have been working visits to Sudan even before 2000. From 2002 - 2004 we maintained close contacts with the congregation of the All Saints Cathedral in Khartoum.
We have set up projects in large refugee camps around Khartoum. Setting up an orphanage and a carpentry workshop. Construction of toilets. In some cases we have cooperated with Dorcas and with the Far Neighbors. Despite the many misery in these refugee camps, we have fond memories of this period. We have had special adventures and went on an excursion to the pyramids in the north of Sudan.
We were able to help a lot of people in the refugee camps. After the Comprehensive Peace Agreement was signed in 2005, the camps around Khartoum were dismantled and the inhabitants largely left for South Sudan. This ended this period. From 2005 the focus of our foundation was on support and encouragement of the Moru in South Sudan.
