Emergency appeal from South Sudan: Help us with internet and emergency aid for flood victims
We recently received an urgent appeal from Bishop Stephen Dokolo of Lui, South Sudan. He wrote to us with a double request for help!
Festive opening dr. Pietro Boschetti Primary School
On Saturday, February 25, 2023 we celebrated a big party. The Pietro Boschetti School is officially open!
Representatives of government and government agencies were present. Of course Bishop Stephen Dokolo, staff members of the church, the commissionaire of the province, representatives of the police, security people and also, for example, the contractor were present. Jaco and Jeannet van Maaren led the opening ceremony together with Jolly and the bishop. The many children sang enthusiastically, we ate together and celebrated!
Keys handed over to the church
We are grateful to God for the opportunities we have been given to bring this project to this point together with Support Women & Children in Conflict. And yes, we still have many wishes, toilets for the teachers are not ready yet, there are no ceilings yet and there is no good infrastructure around the building. With the opening of the school, the keys have also been handed over to the community of Lui. Land, building and everything belonging to it are the property of the church. Church, school and hospital, these three together have made a difference in South Sudan over the years.

What is now a priority: teaching materials. There are no teaching materials in the school at all. We have therefore started a campaign via GEEF.nl to purchase teaching materials. If you donate now, you will help the children of Lui to a better future!
