Emergency situation in Mundri, South Sudan

Over the past few days, we received worrying news from our contacts in South Sudan regarding the situation in the Greater Mundri region. An escalating conflict between cattle ranchers and local farmers has once again led to widespread violence. According to initial reports, more than 30 people have now lost their lives and thousands have fled.

Many families have had to leave their homes in a hurry and have lost virtually everything. There is a severe shortage of food, clean drinking water, medicine, and safe shelters. Children, the elderly, and the sick, in particular, find themselves in an extremely vulnerable situation.

Aid from African Mission

This news deeply affects the African Mission Foundation. For years, we have been involved in projects and aid in South Sudan and know the impact that this type of conflict has on local communities. It is precisely people who are already living in difficult circumstances who are being hit hard again.

A request for prayer and support

  • Therefore, first of all, we would like to ask for prayer:
  • Pray for peace and protection for the people of Mundri.
  • Pray for the families who have lost loved ones.
  • Pray for the many displaced families who are currently living without basic necessities.

Pray for aid workers, churches, and local organizations trying to provide assistance under difficult circumstances.

Additionally, we want to explore how we at African Mission can offer practical support to affected families and local partners. Financial support is urgently needed for this. Donations will be used for emergency relief, such as food, clean water, medical care, and other essential basic necessities.

Every contribution, large or small, can help make a difference in this difficult situation.

We will continue to monitor developments and hope to be able to share more information soon regarding possible concrete relief efforts.

On behalf of the African Mission Foundation, we thank everyone for their sympathy, prayers, and support.
